Hello Faith Family,

I hope that you all have had a great week this week.  There was some changes to our schedule these last few weeks.  And we are going to continue with the changes to your experience in the Sanctuary on Sunday morning.  I will address that later on in the email.

A significant change for the Adults is we have been meeting in the Sanctuary on Wednesday nights for the past couple of weeks.  It Is similar in format to what we used to do in the fellowship hall.  And I must say it has been wonderful having a time of teaching and prayer!

A couple of Prayer requests have been offered.

Those who are home bound.

Those who are recovering from procedures.

Those who have lost loved ones.

I am still going thorough the book of Psalms and we went though the rest of Psalm 69 tonight.  Because of the adult meeting you won’t see as many weekly videos from me, but fear not…other videos will come out through the rest of the summer from various folks.  Not all can make it but I am grateful for those who did.  Our next Wednesday meeting will be August 12th, at 6:30 and John our Education Minister will be teaching.

The Youth Group has been meeting in person and had another good one tonight!  Their next meeting is August 12, 2020, Wednesday in either the Fellowship Hall or Youth Room at 6:30.  They will have Worship and then a time with God’s Word.  Bring your Bibles and be ready to have a good time!

It was also asked that a reminder take place that if you are an Amazon user, please use Smile.Amazon.com <http://smile.amazon.com/> and make Lloyd First Baptist Church your supporting desire.  A percentage of your purchase with be given to the youth group for future use.

The Children’s Group has been meeting in person and had another good one tonight!  The Children’s group is meeting (7 years old through 11 years old, 1st through 5th grade) inside the building in the new children’s classroom.  Their next meeting is August 12th, from 6:30 til 7:30pm.  I am excited to see the fruit of that ministry very soon!  Bring your Bibles, books, and water bottles.

Face Masks:

They are not required everywhere, but we encourage both members and staff to utilize face masks if they desire.

The fellowship hall on Sunday Morning is Mask Only!  Please take note.  We want to offer as many choices as we can in worship.  The Fellowship hall will be streaming the service in the air-conditioning.  But we ask that you wear a mask while you sit in there.  This room is mask on only.

No doubt many of you have been watching the news and you have heard they are bringing school back to in-person classes.  I am so thankful for our leadership so please continue to pray for one another as we strive to seek God’s will for our faith family and how the changes in our community can be addressed by our Church.  We are trusting the Lord and claiming His Word

Proverbs 16:

9 A man’s heart plans his way,

But the Lord directs his steps.

The Lord will direct our every action.

Have a wonderful week and weekend... see you when I do!

Love Pastor Jered
